In a free trial, users begin with the full, paid version of the product automatically enabled. After a set period they must either subscribe or the premium features are withdrawn and they drop back to a limited free tier. This is sometimes called a “reverse trial”. Companies that use this model include Greptile, Granola and Miro.

Configure Pricing

Configure the type of trial you want to use in the Plan Settings section. Set up a trial where users must provide payment information upfront. This will automatically transition to a paid plan subscription when the trial ends.
Configure a trial that allows users to experience premium features without a payment method. Users can optionally add a payment method to keep using the plan, which will automatically transition to a paid plan subscription when the trial ends.

Free plan trial

Implement a limited-time trial of a Free plan. Users will lose access to the plan after the trial ends, and can upgrade to a paid plan at any time.

Adding a trial fee

Charge a small upfront fee for trial access, often used to qualify leads and reduce trial abuse while maintaining low barrier to entry. You can create an add-on plan, with a one-time price. We will attach the plan with a free trial, and the trial-fee add on at the same time.
